It has taken me a while but I have posted and spread
the Happiness and Sunshine - I realized after doing it,
that I did it on my other blog The Healthy Plate instead
of here.....Having 2 blogs can sometimes get confusing!
Done is done, better done than none!! :-)
Food & Liquids :
Day 14 :
1 liter Juice - celery, cucumber, pear, kale, lime
1 liter water with green powder
1 big salad - greens, sprouts, apple, avocado
1 glass coconut water
1 liter water with green powder
Mixed vegetables with small portion of buckwheat pasta
1 cup tea - yogi cinnamon spice
1 liter Juice - celery, cucumber, carrots,
orange, ginger, lime
1 liter water with green powder
2 wraps with salad filling
1 glass coconut water
1 bowl of Fruit and nuts with hemp milk
1 bowl of steamed broccoli/sweet potatoes
with coconut flax butter
1 liter water with green powder
1 glass Green Juice - apple, spinach, lime
I forgot to add the few spoons
of fish curry I had - made it for Trevor
and simply could not resist eating some of it
off his plate!!!
Today I've had a lot of food.....
I don't know if it is because of the intense
workout that I was constantly hungry,
or maybe because I'm liquid feasting from tomorrow,
so was trying to grab what I could today!!! lol :-)
Ah the mind and body work in mysterious ways,
and its wonderful to simply accept and let it all
unfold as it will, everyday.....
I usually have some Coconut Flax Butter,
in my fridge/freezer....it is high in Omega fats,
tasty and so simple to make.....
1 cup coconut oil
1 cup flax seed oil
3 slices of sun dried tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
1 tablespoon of very finely diced white onion
1 tablespoon of very finely diced white onion
Herbes de Provence (dried mixed herbs)
sea salt
Process sun dried tomatoes,
garlic, herbs and sea salt.

Gently warm the coconut oil,
add the onions and saute lightly.

and add the processed tomato,
herb, garlic mixture to it.

Mix well till it is combined.
Let it cool and then
drizzle the flax seed oil
while stirring continuously.

Pour this oil mixture into ramequins
or a silicon ice cube tray.
Let it set in the fridge.
Use it on toast, steamed vegetables,in soups and stews.
You can also freeze it and use it later......
I made another batch with
finely chopped fresh coriander,
mint, grated ginger, and grated lemon rind...
tomorrow, joining my dear friend HippieMom who is doing
the same from another part of the world....
We have not set a precise time frame - no idea how many
days this Feast will last....I'm just going to take it one day
at a time for now.....it could be 2 or 3 or 5 or even a week!!!
Maybe even more, I don't know :-)
Two years ago I did a 40 day Green Juice Feast......
and somehow right now, that feels totally surrealistic!!!
Completely crazy - lol
and yet, it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life,
healing, transforming, spiritual - the best ever!!!!

I am right now on a stravation wave..waiting for it to pass by, I had a quiet morning.
kids will be back from school in an hour so that will be the test!Lol!

I've had waves of hunger pangs, on and off all day!! lol
I guess just knowing that we can't have any solids makes you crave them more ;-)

wow, 40 days?!?
i'm sending you both blessings for a beautiful juicing experience. i would love to try one someday, but first i'd like to buy a juicer! =)
I know, 40 days!! sounds real crazy now- lol
And I had to run around out all day today, so the feast flew outta the window!!! ate lunch at a restaurant!!!

Kelli, I usually use my blender and a nut milk bag for juicing - easier than cleaning up the juicer....
